Marietta Road Lift Station Improvements The Work is located in Chillicothe, Ohio in Ross County Ohio, as described below: 1. The demolition and removal of the existing pumps, slide gates and existing interior force main piping. The removal of the existing chemical tank. 2. The replacement of the existing pumps, slide gates and interior force main piping. 3. The extension of the subsurface structure to accommodate a wet well and dry pit extension and a stairwell. 4. The extension of the existing building to accommodate the new subsurface structure. 5. Restoration of the existing wet well concrete. 6. The replacement of select equipment, including electrical and controls equipment. 7. The installation of a new generator and generator pad. 8. The installation of a new flow meter and flow meter vault. B. Contracting Method: Work shall be constructed under one prime contract. The Owner may consider informal any bid not prepared and submitted in accordance with the provisions hereof and may waive any informalities or reject any and all bids . Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of bids or authorized postponement thereof. Any bid received after the time and date specified shall not be considered. No bidder may withdraw a bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The deadline to submit questions will be no later than a week before the bid opening (or 2 p.m. of September 10. No official interpretation of the meaning of the plans, specifications or other pre-bid documents will be made to any bidder orally. Every request for such interpretation should be in writing addressed to Madelaine Fagrell, PE -American Structurepoint (mfagrell@structurepoint.com) and to be given consideration, must be received at least seven (7) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids. The project includes the rehabilitation of an existing sanitary wastewater lift station. Work includes the replacement of existing pumps with two 15 hp pumps and two 60 hp pumps, a new stairwell to access the lower level, structural rehabilitation of and addition to the existing wet well, new control gates, a new backup power generator, new discharge flow meter and vault, instrumentation, piping, and miscellaneous amenities. The estimate price for construction of these improvements is $3,100,000.
