Reference Number0000393673 The City of Greeley is soliciting Statements of Qualifications from qualified landscape architecture and multidisciplinary design firms to provide professional design services for the development of the Ferguson Property into a new community park, regional dog park, and regional trail connection. The selected consultant will lead a comprehensive park planning and design process that incorporates community engagement, ecological sensitivity, and a phased implementation strategy responsive to current and projected growth in the area. The Ferguson Property is a 27-acre parcel located in a rapidly developing area of Greeley, characterized by new subdivisions and higher-density, multi-family housing. The site was acquired by the city to serve as a new community destination with multi-generational amenities and connectivity to the citywide parks and trails system. The site is identified in the 2025 Trails Master Plan as an Area of Ecological Significance, due to the presence of sensitive habitat areas. It will connect to the regional trail system and to Redtail Park, a new neighborhood park located within a half mile of the Ferguson Property, which includes a playground, bike playground, open lawn, basketball court, and pickleball court. The Ferguson Property has also been designated as the location for a new regional dog park, which will serve a broad user base and address increasing demand for off-leash recreation.
