Reference Number 0000393782 Bid Intent Not Available Mott Community College (MCC) is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced contractors for asphalt repairs across our main campus located in Flint. The College is responsible for maintaining a network of roads and paved surfaces that are essential for transportation and access. Due to normal wear and tear, environmental factors and age; several sections of our asphalt infrastructure require repair and rehabilitation. This will include all parking lots and both main roads leading through campus. Start Date: September 1, 2025. Contractor should have all materials, equipment, labor, etc. ready before beginning work to keep the duration of the construction to a minimum. Pothole patching: repair of isolated areas of pavement deterioration. This may include saw-cutting, hand-tamping, removal of existing material, preparation of the base and hot-mix asphalt (HMA) patching; 3.2. Crack sealing: cleaning and sealing of cracks, (longitudinal, transverse, and alligator cracking) using approved crack sealant materials to prevent water infiltration; 3.3. Asphalt overlay/resurfacing: application of a new layer of hot-mix asphalt over existing pavement. This may require hand-tamping or a small compactor of existing surfaces for a level course, prior to final overlay; 3.4. Seal coat all surfaces to lock out water; 3.5. Line striping/Pavement markings: Re-application of trac lines, parking stall markings, and other pavement symbols as required after seal coat; 3.6. Trac Control: implementation and management of all necessary trac control measures during construction, adhering to local, state (MDOT) and federal regulations and materials.
