Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Newton, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The work consists of three separate contracted projects. One project each, located in the communities of Colfax, Boone, and Newton IA. Each project has multiple locations. Each Project may include site improvements consisting of grading, storm sewer and intakes, roof drain collectors, intakes, tree removal, pavement removal, sidewalks, sodding and erosion control. The Colfax and Boone projects also include retaining walls which may include poured-inplace, large block, and modular block walls. The Colfax and Boone projects include building improvements consisting of new building roofs, gutters, soffit and facia, and vinyl siding. The work shall commence after September 15, 2025, and must be substantially completed by December 1, 2026. Each Bidder shall accompany the Bid with a Bid security, in a separate envelope, as security that the successful bidder will enter into a contract for the work bid upon and will furnish after the award of the contract corporate surety bond or bonds, acceptable to the Owner, for the faithful performance of the contract, in an amount equivalent to one hundred percent of the amount of the contract. The bidder's security shall be in an amount equivalent to 5% of the bid amount, and shall be in the form of a cashier's or certified check drawn on a bank in Iowa or a bank chartered under the laws of the United States of America, or a certified bank share draft drawn on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States of America or a bid bond with corporate surety satisfactory to the Owner. The bid security will be held by the Owner until a contract is fully executed and bonds are approved by the Owner. The owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and waive informalities in Bidding.
