As of October 13, 2025, project was awarded to Accurate Commercial and Proctor Mechanical Corporation, but awarded amount is not available. The Iowa Department of Administrative Services will be receiving bids for site demolition, exterior improvements, earthwork, and utilities for an engineered post frame structure and housing production site at the Newton Correctional Facility (NCF), Iowa Prison Industries (IPI), Homes For Iowa (HFI) Facility Production Site, 307 S 60th Ave W, Newton, Iowa 50208. HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and special construction (BP-01 and BP-03) have previously been awarded for this project. The Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Security as set forth in the Instructions to Bidders in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, cashierís check or a certified check drawn upon a solvent bank chartered under the laws of the United States of America.
