Renovation of a military facility in Charleston, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Joint Base Charleston requires the removal and replacement of two (2) insulated stainless steel overhead coiling roll-up doors at Building 302, 628th Communications Squadron (628 CS). The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to remove the existing malfunctioning doors and install new ones that are compatible with the existing tracks, gearhead motor operators, and building layout. The contractor will also provide electrical work and functional testing. Offerors may submit questions relating to this acquisition to patrick.thomas.30@us.af.mil. Questions must be submitted no later than 30 July 2025 at 0900 AM EST. Offerors must submit responses to this RFQ electronically by email to patrick.thomas.30@us.af.mil and octavio.valverde@us.af.mil no later than 07 August 2025 at 0900 AM EST. This Performance Work Statement (PWS) defines the requirements for the removal and replacement of two (2) overhead coiling roll-up doors at Building 302, 628th Communications Squadron (628 CS), located at 103 N. Graves Avenue, Joint Base Charleston, SC. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary to remove the existing roll-up doors and install two (2) new insulated stainless steel coiling roll-up doors in accordance with the specifications outlined herein. Electrical Work - Provide and install all required electrical components for motorized operation of each door, including: - Running conduit and wiring from power sources to door motors - Installation of control units and switches - Testing for functionality and compliance with code Site Preparation and Installation - Prepare existing openings to receive the new doors, including any necessary structural modifications. - Install new doors in accordance with manufacturer instructions and industry best practices. - Secure and align tracks, guides, and door curtains. - Install all associated hardware including: - Manual chain hoists - Motorized gearhead operators - Handles, locks, and weather stripping Supply and Delivery - Remove and dispose of two (2) existing roll-up doors and associated hardware. - Furnish and deliver two (2) new insulated stainless steel coiling roll-up doors meeting the specifications in Section 7. - Ensure timely delivery of all materials and equipment to the project site. Offerors may submit questions relating to this acquisition to the individual(s) identified in paragraph (xvi) below. Questions must be submitted no later than 28 July 2025 at 09:00 AM EST. All work shall be completed within 90 calendar days of contract award.
