Through this Request for Proposal (RFP), the City of Dearborn hereby invites businesses that meet the qualifications set forth herein to submit proposals to provide the demo, design, furnishing and installation of playground equipment at Argyle Williamson Park located within the City of Dearborn. Argyle Williamson Park is a "community park" located in a residential area of east Dearborn. (See attached map.) 2. GENERAL INFORMATION: The City of Dearborn is looking to renovate several local parks with a portion of its Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding. The City of Dearborn is requesting proposals from qualified vendors to design, furnish, and install playground equipment at Argyle Williamson Park. The purpose of this RFP is to provide interested vendors with sufficient information to facilitate preparation and submission of a proposal that would provide playground equipment that is safe, accessible to children with disabilities, and of high quality at the best value to the City. An on-site visitation is mandatory. Since time is of the essence, the City of Dearborn places a great amount of emphasis on minimizing the installation time. It is the City's intent to have all equipment ready for complete use by end of December, 2025. Due to the use of CDBG funding the awarded contractor must follow all federal requirements and SAM.gov registration per the attached documents. 1. Federal Compliance Requirements 2. SCOPE OF WORK: The successful Respondent (Contractor) shall be required to provide all labor, equipment, materials, and supplies to accomplish the following work except as otherwise identified below. Playground Area and Equipment: * Demo and dispose of the existing playground and swing structures * The playground area should measure at least 50x70 feet. 60' x 80' is also acceptable. * The play structure must be suitable for children aged 2-12 years. * Please include four 6' benches. Two should have backs, two should be without backs. * A bank of swings with at least five swings is required, specifically two belt swings, two tot swings, and one adaptive swing. * Poured-in-place (PIP) surfacing is required for the entire area. Installation Details: * Installation should encompass demolition, excavation, hauling, disposal and the erection of a 6-foot temporary chain-link fence for construction. * It also includes the installation of the equipment, a 1-foot by 6-inch steel-reinforced concrete border, replacement of five sections of concrete sidewalk, a stone base for the PIP surfacing, and site restoration. * The installation team must be certified by the manufacturer. * PIP surfacing should feature an aliphatic binder with a 50/50 color/black mix. Additional Requirements: * Please include a PLM Bond. 100% Payment and Performance bonds are required. * Please factor in possible City of Dearborn building permits. * The bidder must provide five references for structures over 20 years old that they have serviced for parts and maintenance within the last two years
