In general, the work consists of, but is not limited to, pavement rehabilitation by way of Full Depth Reclamation (FDR) of approximately 1,656 square yards, excess material off haul and placement of HMA, adjustments of utilities boxes, and installation of traffic markings and striping, including all necessary storm water protection and traffic control measures. The FDR work shall include, but not be limited to, Full Depth Reclamation (17-inch depth) of existing roadway, removal of existing pulverized roadway (5-inch depth), installation of new Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) Type A (6 inch depth). An original certified check or cashier's check payable to the order of the City of Monterey, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid amount shall be uploaded with each bid, as a guarantee that the bidder, if its bid is accepted, will promptly execute the Agreement. The bid bond must be notarized, include the embossed surety seal, and include a Power of Attorney if the signee is not an officer of the surety.
