Obtaining all required construction-related permits and approvals including but not limited to road occupancy permits, tree removal permit, permission to take water etc. Conducting all required coordination with applicable utility companies and stakeholders, including but not limited to, transit agencies such as Metrolinx, the City of Toronto, Exhibition Place, Ontario Place tenants, as well as consultants and other contractors supplying services and works to Infrastructure Ontario in respect of Ontario Place. The Project consists of the following sub-projects ("Sub-Projects"): 1. OSS-Dufferin Bridge Temporary Watermain Upgrade The Dufferin Street Bridge Temporary Watermain work involves installing an above-ground 250mm watermain complete with heat tracing insulation and pipe jacket, along the east side of the pedestrian walkway on top of the Dufferin Street Bridge, from approximately 50 meters south of Springhurst Avenue to 120 meters north of Saskatchewan Road. This watermain will will connect north and south to an existing 300mm watermain.. 2. OSS-West Exhibition Place Watermain Upgrade The West Exhibition Watermain work involves the installation of a new 300mm diameter PVC watermain from Dufferin Street to Quebec Street along Centennial Park (approx. 500m), including a 400mm diameter (O.D.) HDPE watermain section through Centennial Park by Horizontal Directional Drilling (approximately 45m).. 3. OSS-Lakeshore/Jameson Sewer Connection This work site is located within Marilyn Bell Park, south of Lakeshore Boulevard, near the Jameson Ave. overpass. Work entails removing and replacing an existing double catch basin on the south side of Lakeshore Boulevard and installation of new 300mm diameter PVC storm sewer pipe and associated maintenance holes. The new watermain will continue southeast through Marilyn Bell Park and ultimately connect into an existing 1200mm diameter storm sewer through a new 2400mm diameter maintenance hole. This work will require a short 8m relocation of an existing 300 diameter watermain along the Lakeshore Boulevard south curb line to avoid a new maintenance hole. This project includes open cut installation of the new double catch basin, new maintenance holes and the section of watermain to be rerouted.
