Renovation of a municipal facility in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Municipality of Shelburne seeks proposals for the design, fabrication, and installation of a professionally constructed, visually accessible exterior sign to be located at the entrance of the Administration Building at 414 Woodlawn Drive, Shelburne, NS. The sign must reflect the Municipality's "Ocean to Forest" identity, coordinate with the facility's existing architectural design, and meet accessibility standards. The selected contractor will: - Design and fabricate a double-sided sign using finishes that co-ordinate with the Administration Building façade and utilize visual accessibility features including contrast standards and appropriate text sizing consistent with accessibility standards. - Install solar or low-voltage lighting to ensure readability at night. - Install the sign at a height and location that ensures visibility from passing motorist. -Install the sign in such a manner that it is securely anchored into/to the ground using the appropriate materials and workmanship necessary for the sign to withstand wind and weather events. NOTE: Landscaping including installing fill around the base of the sign will take place later under separate contract(s). - Ensure all components are weather-resistant and compliant with Nova Scotia accessibility and signage standards.
