Description of the project: This contract covers the clearing work needed to set up a new 230 kV power line. This work includes skilled labor, materials, and the equipment needed. The work covered by this contract includes, but is not limited to: - Clearing the right-of-way for the line, new roads, and existing roads necessary for the work. - Cutting down dangerous trees, stacking marketable wood, and removing wood debris. - Construction of winter roads to facilitate clearing, including adjustments to accommodate a snowmobile club. - Maintenance of municipal roads used in connection with the project. - Supply and installation of temporary culverts for watercourse crossings. - Installation or stacking of wood fascines. As a rough guide, and without any commitment on the part of Hydro-Québec, the order of magnitude, including options, is between $1,000,000 and $3,000,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
