A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The work under this Contract shall consist of the removing the existing bituminous concrete sidewalk between 123 Farmington Avenue to 269 Farmington Avenue and replacing it with a four-foot concrete sidewalk. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guarantee in the form of a certified check or Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the total amount of Bid. A performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond will be required equal to the value of the contract. All sureties must be listed on the most recent 1RS Circular 570. All bidders are required to inform themselves fully of the conditions relating to the construction and labor under which the work will be or is now being performed, and the contractor shall employ as possible, such methods and means to carry out this work that does not cause interruption or interfere with any other contractor. All bids shall be accompanied by the Drug and Alcohol Testing Program Compliance Certification which is enclosed in the Bid Documents. No bids submitted without a completed Drug and Alcohol Compliance Certification will be considered for award. No Bid may be withdrawn until one hundred and twenty, (120), calendar days after the date of the opening of the Bids. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in the Bids: to reject any and all Bids; or to accept the Bid that in his judgement will be in the best interest of the Town of Plainville.
