Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Salisbury, Maryland. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

Emerson Holloway Park is a spacious neighborhood park that primarily serves residents on the west side of Salisbury. The park includes a playground, softball field, two basketball courts, pavilion and other site amenities. Public input has included a desire for additional park amenities, with particular need for on-site parking and possible changes to overall park design. In FY27, funding would be utilized to develop a site plan to include on-site parking and potential alterations to ingress/egress and the overall layout ofthe park. Storm water management features would also be considered during the design phase. Public input would be sought during the design phase to determine what additional amenities may be desired to enhance the facility. Proposed construction would take place in FY28. This was postponed from the Department's original timeline due to funding constraints, primarily caused by Fruitland Primary. As of July 28, 2025, this project is included in the County 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
