Design and Engineering Services for Skatepark The City of Painesville Department of Recreation and Public Lands is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from qualified design and engineering firms to provide professional services for the design, community engagement, and construction documentation of a new public skatepark located at the Morse Avenue Community Center, at the corner of West Prospect Street and Jefferson Street in Painesville, Ohio. This RFQ seeks a team with demonstrated experience in skatepark design, site-specific engineering, and community engagement for public recreation projects. Services will include site analysis, design development, construction documents, permitting assistance, and bid support. Optional construction administration services may also be required. The City of Painesville reserves the right to reject any or all submissions and to waive any irregularities in the selection process. The project will be developed in three phases, with Phase I currently funded at approximately $550,000 through a combination of City funds and a LWCG from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. Design must be completed by January 31, 2026, with construction anticipated to begin in March/April 2026. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
