**As of September 22nd, 2025, bids were rejected. No definite date for the rebid.** The project consists of the construction of grading for a future road and the construction of a proposed sewer pump station for an industrial park. Project to include the construction of the roadway grading, pump station, and necessary erosion control. Caldwell County staff will be purchasing and installing the water and sewer transmission lines. Coordination between the selected contractor and county staff will be required. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond by an acceptable surety company for not less than 5% of the amount of the bid, made payable to the Owner as a bid guarantee. A performance bond and a payment bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract price, will be required of each successful bidder. In accordance with North Carolina law, bids will be accepted only from bidders who are licensed general contractors in the State of North Carolina. Small, female, minority, and local contractors are encouraged to bid on this project. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the actual bid opening date. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part of a bid, and to waive informalities and technicalities in the bid.
