Site work for a mixed-use development in Oak Lawn, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
The proposed work is officially known as "COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT 218 ADMINISTRATION BUILDING STORMWATER IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT" and further described as mass grading to construct a flood storage detention basin with an underdrain system, large diameter storm sewer installation, ball field and site amenities, roadway resurfacing, and all necessary restoration as further described in the contract documents for the said work prepared by Christopher B. Burke Engineering, Ltd. (CBBEL). Work shall be completed with the use of Local and MWRD Partnership Funding. Question Deadline- August 20, 2025 at 4:00pm If you have any questions during the project, please contact Oak Lawn Public Works at 708-499-7756 Construction shall begin, unless otherwise approved by the Village, 14 calendar days following award of the contract by the Owner. Construction shall not commence prior to November 3, 2025, unless written approval is provided by the Village. Work must begin at the detention basin on School District property on November 3, 2026. The Contractor has the option to begin storm sewer mainline work concurrently; however, this must be approved in writing by the Village for any storm sewer mainline to begin prior to March 1, 2026 (weather dependent). All work, including punchlist items, shall be completed by October 23, 2026. Est. Completion Date: Oct. 23, 2026 Pre-Qualification: Yes
