Scope of Services : Contractor to excavate and install new 8" ductile iron water main and related appurtenances. Contractor to make new taps and install new service lines to existing meter locations. Contractor to abandon in place existing water mains. . Project has been designed in-house by Greenville Water Engineering. Project will operate under Greenville Water General DES Permit. 2. Greenville Water Standard Technical Specification document will be required for all work within project scope. 3. Please note that documentation of pressure and leakage testing in accordance with GW Specification Section 4-15 will be required. 4. Project to be under construction within 2 weeks of the issuance of contract. 5. Five (5) compaction tests required at locations to be specified by GW Inspector. 98% compaction required under paved surface and 95% compaction required along ditch sections. 6. Contractor required (per Encroachment Permit Specs) to use screenings on roadway if placing excavated spoils on road surface. 7. Performance Bonds and Payment Bonds on GW standard forms required with GW Contract. 8. Unless noted, all work shown on drawings is required whether or not a specific bid item is listed. Payment for work for which a bid item is not listed shall be included as part of other bid items. 9. Retainage of 10 percent will be deducted from each pay request until project completion and final acceptance of all work performed. 10. Within 10 days of written notice of acceptance of this bid, Contractor will execute the contract and deliver the bonds and insurance certificates to GW. 11.
