Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a civil project in Redding, California. Completed plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project; for the construction of a water / sewer project; for site work for a water / sewer project; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Demolition and removal of existing pump station and replacing with a new pump station housed in a masonry block building with a sloping metal roof. The pump station will consist of a new pump with associated appurtenances, new 24-inch pipeline, electrical instrumentation, landscaping, paving, and wrought iron fence with gate. Contractor shall possess a Class A license at the time bid is opened. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for this project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5. Each bid shall be made in accordance with the specifications and proposal requirements thereof. No bid will be received unless it is made on a proposal form furnished by the City Engineer. Each bid must be accompanied by cash, certified or cashier's check, or original bidder's bond made payable to the City of Redding for an amount equal to at least 10% of the total amount of the bid as a guarantee that the contractor will execute the contract in conformance with his proposal and the specifications. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations.
