The Lowndes County Board of Supervisors requests proposals for pre-qualification of Contractors to provide for the construction of Artesia Road Overlay from Airport Road to Manufacturers Drive. This request for Proposal only includes addressing Pre-Qualifications of prospective bidders. The submitted proposals shall be taken under advisement for review by an evaluation committee appointed by the Lowndes County Board of Supervisors. Pre-qualified contractors shall be selected in the sole discretion of the evaluation committee. Contractors pre-qualified by the evaluation committee will be invited to attend a mandatory Pre-Bid Conference and to submit bids for the construction of Artesia Road Overlay from Airport Road to Manufacturers Drive at a later date. In addition to the pre-qualification proposal, the prospective bidders must disclose a plan of making commercially reasonable efforts to meet the requirements of Mississippi Contractors and Mississippi Disadvantaged Business Enterprise ("DBE") in order that a DBE shall have an equal opportunity to respond to the bid. All proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope and marked with the following language: Pre-qualification proposal for Construction of Artesia Road Overlay from Airport Road to Manufacturers Drive. The Board of Supervisors of Lowndes County reserves the right to reject any and/or all proposals.
