Site work for a recreation facility in Peoria, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a recreation facility.
As of August 15, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. Installation of a new Shade / Feeding Structure for the giraffes, also known as a Giraffe Browse. Work to include but is not limited to a structural steel column, thatched roof shading, reinforced structural concrete footing, and winch/cable hoist. Bidder must meet Park Districts goals stated below or provide evidence of good faith effort toward meeting the goals to be considered a Responsible and Responsive Bidder. Not less than 20% of the total dollar amount of the Contract awarded to go to Minority-owned Businesses Not less than 5% of the total dollar amount of the Contract awarded to go to Women-owned Businesses Not less than 20% of total hours worked on the job to be by Minority Persons Not less than 5% of total hours worked on the job to be by Women Giraffe Shade / Feeding Structure - Peoria Zoo.
