Site work for a water / sewer project in Peoria, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Peoria Park District is soliciting written quotes for the removal and replacement of a stormwater inlet at 4529 Grand View Drive. Please note that the prevailing rate of wage including benefits for the Peoria area shall be paid for each craft or type of worker needed to execute this project or perform this work as required by the State of Illinois Department of Labor. All work performed in connection with this project shall be in compliance with the requirements of all applicable local, state, and federal laws, regulations, rules, and national building codes. Contractor is responsible for field verifying all existing conditions. Please contact Tammy Johnson at 309-686- 3386 if you have any questions. The project site can be viewed during normal business hours. No appointment is necessary. General: The intent of this project is to remove and replace the existing stormwater inlet on the bluff side of the road at 4529 Grand View Drive. Materials: 1. Precast concrete inlet: City of Peoria G1 2. Frame and Grate: Neenah R-3246A with Type 'R' (diagonal) grate. 3. Concrete: 4,000 psi air entrained. 4. Flowable Fill (CLSM): 30 psi mix. Execution: 1. Verify all elevations and measurements before ordering precast elements. 2. Call JULIE before you dig! Place traffic control as needed. No open excavations may be left when contractor is not on site. Excavations must be covered, and fencing maintained. 4. Sawcut pavement and curbing at removal limits. 5. Excavate and remove existing inlet and pavement. 6. Place new precast inlet and frame and grate to level and slopes noted in details. Grout or mortar existing outlet and inlet pipes. 7. Backfill and compact. Utilize flowable fill for backfill under pavement. 8. Form and place concrete curbing, gutter pan, and inlet apron. 9. Place HMA patching and compact. 10. Clean soil, refuse, and debris from pavement before removing traffic control. Schedule: Work must be completed by November 30, 2025. Award is intended for August 14, 2025. A Certificate of Insurance and Endorsement with a minimum of one million ($1,000,000) of liability coverage, naming the Peoria Park District as Additional Insured, will be required, before work begins. Verification that all employees who will be working at the site are currently covered by Workers Compensation Insurance will also be required.
