Removing two existing concrete water control structures and corresponding pipe. Replacing with AgriDrain with corrigated plastic pipe. Contractor will be responsible for disposal of concrete control structure and pipe. Awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Question Deadline 08/22/2025 at 12:00 PM ET Ordering Division and Address: Division of Wildlife - Killdeer Plains Wildlife Area, 19100 County Highway 115, Harpster, Ohio 43323 A. Services to be Provided: 1. Task 1 - "Pond 3" AgriDrain Water Control Structure Replacement: (a.) The successful bidder shall remove and dispose of the existing concrete riser (measuring 7 feet H and 48 inches W), 15 feet of concrete pipe leading to the pond side, and 25 feet of concrete pipe leading towards the side of the woods. Disposal of all removed material should be done off state property. The concrete pipe will measure at a diameter of 18 inches. Any hardware found within the concrete riser is to be removed and disposed of as well. (Pictures of the existing pump and related structure(s) are shown in figures 1-3). (b.) The successful bidder should install a new 8-foot AgriDrain control structure provided by the Ohio Division of Wildlife after the previous water control structure has been removed and properly disposed of. (c.) 8-foot AgriDrain control structure will be installed with an 18-inch diameter pipe. Follow the manufacturers' guide for installation. There will also be an attached document outlining the installation of a water control structure. Use these documents as guides. Pipe will be long enough to reach Pond 3 on the north end, and long enough to empty into the ditch on the south end. Control structure and pipe will be set in the same location as the removed structure. The new structure will be installed at the same elevations as the previous structure. (d.) After the control structure is replaced, use topsoil as fill if needed. Regrade and reseed disturbed areas with grass seed. 2. All materials and supplies required to complete Task 1 shall be furnished by the Division of Wildlife. All equipment needed to complete Task 1 shall be provided by the awarded bidder. 2. Riprap a) Replace any riprap around and under the pipes of the Pond 3 control structure. Use Class D riprap at 2 layers of depth. Contractor also needs to create a 10x10 foot area under the outlet to prevent erosion from water flowing out of the pipe. 3. Fill Material a) Refill with topsoil as needed. Regrade and reseed what was disturbed. 4. Inline AgriDrain Water Control Structure 5. Inlet Pipe a) 18-inch diameter pipe. Pipe is a plastic material. Inlet pipe will run from the pond to the connecting pipe on the water control structure. The length of pipe should match the length of pipe removed from the previous concrete control structure. In the case of Pond 3, the inlet pipe should measure approximately 15 feet. 6. Outlet Pipe a) 18-inch diameter pipe. Pipe is a plastic material. Outlet pipes will run from the water control structure to the woods in the south. The length of pipe should match the length of pipe removed from the previous concrete control structure. In the case of Pond 3, the outlet pipe should measure approximately 25 feet. 7. Stainless Steel Clamps a) Stainless steel clamps are provided to attach the piping to the rubber inlet and outlets attached to either side of the water control structure. 8. Water Control Boards a) Water control boards are present inside the water control structure. They are properly mounted using the hardware found inside the structure. 9. Hardware, Other Materials (a.) Other hardware and materials provided will include the hardware found within the structure that is necessary to mount and contain sliding water control structure boards. Site Visit & Point of Contact: Attendance of a pre-bid meeting and site visit is required. Failure to attend will result in a disqualified bid.
