Project work includes rehabilitation of a failing 48-inch corrugated metal stormwater culvert located beneath the north side of the Village. The culvert conveys runoff from a densely developed residential area and has experienced multiple collapses, blockages, and sediment accumulation, causing localized flooding, sinkholes, and degraded water quality downstream. The project includes slip-lining the existing culvert using cured-in-place pipe (CIPP), spot excavation and replacement where the pipe has fully collapsed and dredging of the outfall to restore hydraulic flow. This approach minimizes disruption while restoring structural and hydraulic function. The project will reduce sediment-laden discharges, protect properties and public infrastructure, and improve resiliency to climate-driven storm events.
