Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Bell Gardens, California. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The City is seeking proposals from qualified consultants with proven expertise to provide professional design, architecture and engineering services for the following two projects: 1) Veterans Park Refurbishment - The preparation of the plans, specifications, and estimate for the construction of a shade sail at the outdoor fitness center, a community amphitheater with a lawn, two therapeutic gardens with signage, two picnic areas, a walking trail system, public art, improved landscaping throughout the park, renovation of the basketball, tennis, futsal, and volleyball courts, and improvements to the interior of the Ross Hall Recreation Center & Cultural Center; and 2) Veterans Park Restroom Renovation - The preparation of the plans, specifications, and estimate for the renovation of the outdoor restroom adjacent to the ballfield. It is the intent of the City to select a single consultant or consultants to provide the requested architectural design services. However, the City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all responses received in response to this Request for Proposals (RFP). The City also reserves the right to waive any informality, technical defect or clerical error or irregularity in any response. The City's potential award of an agreement will not be based on any single factor, nor will it be based solely or exclusively on the lowest cost proposal. If an agreement is awarded, it will be awarded to the consultant who, in the judgment of the City, has presented an optimal balance of relevant experience, price, quality of service, work history and other factors which the City may consider relevant and important in determining which proposal is best for the City. Additionally, the City may, for any reason, decide not to award an agreement based on this RFP. The City reserves the right to cancel this RFP. The City shall not be obligated to respond to any responses submitted, nor be legally bound in any manner by the submission of the response. The City reserves the right to negotiate deliverables and associated costs. The term of the Agreement will be for one (1) year with one (1) optional oneyear extension.
