Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Cochranton, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 1,470-square-foot, one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field.

The Work consists of the following 1. Contract - Remove the existing roof and carpet in community room. Install new metal roof including insulation underlayment and downspouts. Construct new walls with drywall and painting. Install new suspended ceilings as indicated. Cut and patch concrete floors for new plumbing and install new plumbing and fixtures. Install new light fixtures, electrical outlets, light fixtures and emergency lighting. Project will be constructed under four prime contracts. Question Deadline 08/26/2025 Every request for such an interpretation shall be made in writing to Struxures, LLC. Any inquiry received seven (7) or more days prior to the date fixed for opening of Bids will be given consideration. For the interior and exterior renovations to bring the existing Pegan Building within Cochranton Lions Community Park into compliance with ADA accessibility guidelines. The Pegan Building is a 1,470-square feet one-story cement-block structure in its center which was enlarged years ago with wood framing to extend its east and west sides; the building exterior today is corrugated metal sheeting, and its roof is rusted metal. Presently there are no windows on its exterior. The Pegan Building does have water, sewer, electrical, and natural gas service. The Work is generally described as follows: Replacement of two person-doors and one overhead door; replacement and insulation of the entire roof; conversion of former kitchen area to become two large one-person ADA restrooms with hallway reconfiguration; plumbing, electrical/lighting, and HVAC systems upgrades for increased usage; related indoor and outdoor signage; upgrades to existing staff restroom; emergency lighting throughout building; and related amenities, some of which are Alternates as indicated in the bid package. The bid documents are and drawings separately indicate the General Construction (including roof); Plumbing; Electrical; and HVAC. A bidding firm may bid in one or more of those categories. This Phase II is funded by an already executed PA DCNR grant, local funds via the Borough, and private sector funds. Borough personnel will prepare site prior to project kick-off, and during project install new countertop and overhead door. The Borough anticipates that vendor selection will be by motion(s) passed during the September 8, 2025 evening meeting of Borough Council, starting at 7:00 p.m. in the Borough Building. Vendors will be notified the next business day. Bidding firms like the public are welcome to attend, but bidders are not required to have a representative present during the business meeting. The anticipated contract period is September 15, 2025 through December 31, 2025. A certified check or bank draft, payable to Borough of Cochranton, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Budder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to 10% of the total of the Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. Bids will not be accepted by facsimile (fax machine) nor e-mail.The contractor must abide by all laws and regulations applicable to publicly funded contracts, including but not limited to equal employment opportunity, the Pennsylvania Nondiscrimination/Sexual Harassment clause, and the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. The Project Manual lists the most recently issued Pa. Prevailing Wage rates and benefits for Crawford County.The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalités in the bidding.
