General Project Background: The Spring Creek well serves a significant population in northern Lowndes County. Currently, the treatment process consists of the addition of phosphorus and fluoride followed by chlorination. The raw water contains elevated levels of Total Organic Carbon (TOC) which causes exceedances of Disinfectant Byproduct Maximum Contamination Levels (MCL) established by GA EPD. Lowndes County Board of Commissioners (the "County") will receive sealed proposals from Design-Build Contractors for design and construction of aNew 380-GPM Nanofiltration Water Treatment Plant at the Spring Creek Well and Tank Site.The project site is located at 4245 Hattie Place, Valdosta, Georgia 31605.The budget for the project is $6,000,000.00. The funding source for the project is Lowndes County SPLOST. Offerors should propose for this project as Design-Build only. Proposals shall be honored for 60 days after the time set for opening of the proposals.
