Offerors should propose to construct the project as Design-Build. An award will be made based on the following evaluation factors: Relevant Experience, Design-Build Experience, Governmental Entity Experience, Local Business Participation Plan, Qualifications of Key Personnel, and Stability of Company. All costs related to the preparation, submittal, or presentations of the proposals hereby requested for this project are the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be assumed in full or in part by the Lowndes County Board of Commissioners. Proposals shall be honored for 60 days after the time set for opening of the proposals. General Project Background: The primary objective of this project is to design and construct A New Animal Shelter. The proposed location is 337 Gil Harbin Industrial Blvd at the location of the existing Animal Shelter. Project Delivery Method: This Animal Shelter Project is to be designed and constructed using the Firm Fixed Price, Design-Build delivery method. The project scope includes engineering and design services, permitting, procurement, construction, operation and maintenance (O&M) manual preparation, and start-up and commissioning services, and operator training for the New Animal Shelter. Project Budget: The preliminary stated (construction) cost limitation (SCL) for the Project is $5,000,000.00.
