Pursuant to Section 10-20.21(a) of the Illinois School Code, this work for custodial and supervisor services will be let to the lowest responsible bidder, considering conformity with specifications, terms of delivery, quality, and serviceability The purpose of this meeting will be to answer questions regarding the bid packet and walk all facilities in the district, if needed. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond made payable to the Board of Education of Park Forest - Chicago Heights School District 163 for an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the initial contract period of the bid. If the awarded bidder fails to proceed with the contract, they shall forfeit the bid bond as liquidated damages and no mistakes or errors on the part of the bidder shall excuse or entitle them to a return of the aforementioned amount. No bid will be considered unless the bidder furnishes satisfactory evidence to the Board of Education that they have the necessary facilities, abilities, experience, equipment, financial, and physical resources available to fulfill the conditions of the contract and execute the work should the contract be awarded to them. The successful bidder will be required to comply with the provisions of all State of Illinois and federal laws concerning public works projects, including, but not limited to, the Illinois Human Rights Act and the regulations of the Illinois Department of Human Rights. The Board of Education of Park Forest - Chicago Heights School District 163, reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive any or all irregularities or technicalities in the bid, and award the bid in the manner that best serves the interests of the Board of Education
