Reference Number 0000394747 Albany Police Department Horse Barn Roof Replacement Project :- The City of Albany (hereinafter referred to as the "CITY") hereby requests proposals from qualified engineering firms to provide professional engineering services related to the installation of a metal roof on the Albany Police Department Horse Barn in the City of Albany. Minority Business Enterprises and Women's Business Enterprises are encouraged to submit proposals. The APD horse barn project will include removal and replacement of the existing roof located at 5 Mill Road. The project will generally include removal of the existing IKO "Interlok" shingles as well as the shed roof attached to the barn and replacing with a standing seam metal roof system. Additionally, new gravity ventilators shall be installed to replace the existing ventilators. It is thought that due to age, shifting and improper construction practices when originally built, etc. the roof will need to be "shimmed" on a singular plane for each roof "deck" of the gambrel style roof.
