Sharon Housing Trust, Inc. (SHT) will receive bids from qualified contractors for Sharon Homes Roof Repairs at 91, 93, and 95 North Main Street in Sharon, CT. The work consists of roofing assessments, repairs, and replacements on all three buildings. Sharon Homes are 6 affordable rental apartments in 3 separate buildings. All units are fully occupied. Deadline for submitting RFP questions: 8/20/2025 Responses provided for RFP questions 8/25/2025 Scope of Services o Strip all asphalt shingles from roof. o Assess sheathing below, replace as necessary (provide cost per sheet of sheathing, see below) o Replace all roof boots, install white metal F5 drip edge. o Supply and install 3 feet of ice and water shield on all eaves, gable ends, and valleys. o Supply and install ridge vent. o Supply and install 30-year architectural asphalt shingles. o Haul away all debris (provide dumpster), rake area clean, magnet roll for any metallic debris. o Warranty all work for one year Quotes Should Include: o Brand of roofing shingles, ice and water shield, synthetic underlayment, and ridge venting to be used. o Complete cost, labor and materials, for each 4'x8' piece of sheathing to be replaced. o Payment schedule Other Conditions: o Contractor shall be responsible for pulling building permit (include in price). o Harnesses shall be worn by employees on roof. o Contractor shall provide SHT with copy of workers compensation insurance prior to a deposit. o Work shall only commence when there is a clear forecast for the amount of time necessary to both strip all roofing and replace; work to start and finish on any individual roof within two business days. o Work shall only be performed between the hours of 7:30 AM and 5:30 PM Monday - Friday. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid shall be withdrawn by the bidding contractor for a period of 90 days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the owner.
