The County's Department of Transportation and El Dorado Water Agency are partnering to produce a drainage study for the Slate Creek watershed and drainage infrastructure in the town of El Dorado in relation to historic flooding. Based upon observed flooding conditions, the portion of Slate Creek that runs through the town of El Dorado is hydraulically impacted. This drainage study will be split into two (2) phases of work: Phase 1, focusing on the overall Slate Creek watershed, and Phase 2, focusing on infrastructure within Pleasant Valley Road and the town of El Dorado. The County is soliciting sealed proposals from highly qualified and experienced firms (hereinafter referred to as "Proposer") to provide a project-specific drainage study and analysis for the El Dorado Drainage Improvement Project (Project), as required for the County's Department of Transportation. The Project area is located in the town of El Dorado and includes approximately eight-hundred linear feet (800 LF) of Pleasant Valley Road beginning prior to Hinman Alley and ending after Oriental Street. The Project intends to restore and upgrade the drainage system along Pleasant Valley Road. The Project has two (2) primary components, a) the overall drainage study, and b) a detailed assessment of drainage improvements in Pleasant Valley Road to address the existing infrastructure which is at the end of its serviceable life. The detailed assessment of the Pleasant Valley Road drainage improvements would serve as the Basis of Design for these needed improvements.
