Site work and paving for a road / highway in Plainfield, Wisconsin. Working plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
As of August 29, 2025 The Board rejected all bids. The work will be wrapped up into a different bid package in the spring. The Work for Which Bids Are Asked Includes the Following:Replacing Two Existing 48 Prime Prime Cmp Culverts on 6th Avenue. Culverts Have Been Already Purchased by the Town. Installing Approximately 5,720 Tons of Aggregate Base Course Over 3.4 Miles of 6th Avenue. Contactor Shall Prep, Install, Grade and Compact Aggregate on Existing Gravel Roadway. Portions of This Contract Are Funded in Part by a Wisconsin Agriculture Roads Improvement Program (Arip) Grant. The Town of Leola Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids, to Waive Any Technicality and to Accept Any Bid That It Deems Advantageous. All Bids Shall Remain Subject to Acceptance for Forty-five (45) Days After the Time Set for Bid Opening. The Contract Award Shall Be Made Based on the Lowest Responsive and Responsible Bidder. No Proposal Will Be Accepted Unless Accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond Equal to at Least 5% of the Amount Bid, Payable to the Owner as a Guarantee That if the Bid is Accepted the Bidder Will Execute the Project Contract. The Bid Bond Will Be Returned to the Bidder Once the Contract Has Been Signed. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Contractor shall complete all Work as specified or indicated in the Contract Documents. The Work is generally described as follows: Full depth milling, removal, and paving of asphalt, culvert work, shouldering, ditching, restoration, and erosion control
