Summit County Department of Sanitary Sewer Services (DSSS) is requesting a modification of the boundary of the NEFCO Clean Water (208) Plan's Akron Facilities Planning Area (FPA) and Fish Creek FPA. DSSS is soliciting public comments on the proposal for a portion of Boston Township to be served by sanitary sewer that is tributary to the Fish Creek Water Reclamation Facility. Parcels within the proposed amendment area are currently prescribed within the Akron FPA as “orange” (areas expected to be served with sanitary sewer within the next 20 years) or “green” (areas that will be served by a POTW or by home sewage and semi-public sewage disposal systems). This FPA boundary amendment would allow for a DSSS sanitary sewer extension to multiple existing commercial and residential structures along Akron-Cleveland Road.
