The Tunica County Board of Supervisors is requesting sealed bids for construction of the Sam's Town Force Main Repairs project. All bids shall be marked: Sealed Bid for: Tunica County Utility District - Sam's Town Force Main Repairs The work shall consist essentially of the following types of work: 1. Erosion control and slope protection. 2. Removal and disposal of existing force main and salvaging of steel casing. 3. Wet connection to existing force main. 4. Installation of force main, casing, manhole, gravity sewer main. 5. Installation of additional fill material and gravel access road. The above general outline of features of the work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the Contractor to perform all work and furnish all plant, labor, equipment and materials required by the specifications and the drawings referred to therein. Proposals shall be submitted in duplicate, sealed and deposited with Tunica County, Mississippi prior to the hour and date herein before designated. The duplicate Proposals shall be in the form of one (1) original Proposal, marked "ORIGINAL" and one (1) photocopy (xerox or similarly reproduced copy) marked "PHOTOCOPY " of the original Proposal. The Owner hereby notifies all Bidders that it will affirmatively insure that disadvantaged and woman-owned business enterprises will be afforded the full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation. When considering the award of any contract resulting from this invitation, the Owner will not discriminate against any bidder on the grounds of race, gender, or national origin.
