Site work and paving for a road / highway in Tunica, Mississippi. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
Sealed bids are requested for the 2026 Asphalt Street Overlays and Street Repairs Project. Principal items of work include mobilization, unclassified excavation for base repair, road stripping excavation, crushed stone, various hot mix asphalt overlays and patching, cold milling of bituminous pavements, maintenance of traffic, thermoplastic edge and traffic striping, thermoplastic detail stripe and legend, and installation of reflective raised markers. The project is approximately 35 working days in duration. The lowest and best bid based on published quantities will be awarded the contract, which will be made as a whole to one bidder. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope with appropriate labeling and must include a Bid Bond of five percent of the total bid. Performance and Payment Bonds are required for 100% of the contract price. All unit prices in the bid proposal must remain firm for the duration of the project. The contractor must begin construction within 45 calendar days of contract execution and complete the work within 35 working days. Liquidated damages apply for delays. Bids must adhere to State and Federal regulations and all applicable laws. Instructions specify submission requirements, bonding, forms, and the procedure for both resident and non-resident bidders. Bids received after the specified time or not meeting requirements will not be considered. The Town of Tunica reserves the right to waive informalities or reject any or all bids. All work must be completed by August 1, 2026.
