The project consists of installation ofa Monoclor(R) Residual Control System(RCS) within the KE White Elevated Water Tower. The proposed booster pumpdisinfection improvement system includes a submerged tank mixer, waterquality sampling system, submergedpump, injector assembly, hypochloritestorage tank, liquid ammonium storage tank, individual dosing skids foreach chemical, and all associated appurtenances including, but not limited to, piping, control panels, chemical andelectrical conduit. The booster pump disinfection system materials are to beprovided by the City as detailed on theplan. All remaining materials are to beprovided by the contractor. All bids must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's checkor bid bond in the amount of 5% ofthe total amount bid made payable tothe Owner. The bid deposit shall be retained by the Owner if the successfulbidder fails to execute contracts or failsto provide the required bonds, as stated above, within ten (10) days after theproper notice of award of the contract. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 consecutive calendar days after bid opening except as provided inInformation for Bidders. Bidders mustshow evidence that they are licensed toperform the work in the Bid Documentsas required by the North Carolina General Statutes Chapter 87. The Ownerreserves the right to reject any/all bids, to waive formalities, or to reject nonconforming, non-responsive, or conditional bids. The Owner reserves the right to award a contract to the lowest,responsive, responsible bidder or bidders, taking into consideration quality,performance, and time.
