Bidders are requested to tender a price (excluding all taxes) for only the transportation of product from Pugwash, NS to the City of Summerside (95 Ottawa St). Prices quoted will remain in effect until product is no longer required in the spring of 2026. The quantity estimated for the 2025/2026 year is approximately 3000 metric tonnes of highway salt. The salt shed shall be filled by October 17, 2025, and shall be topped up when requested by the Municipal Services Department. For further information, please contact Owen MacDonald at 902-439-5322. The City reserves the right to limit quantities to actual requirements. The salt shall be transported by truck. The City has the right to inspect equipment used to deliver the salt and reserves the right to reject any tender if the equipment is deemed unsuitable by the City. The City of Summerside reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
