Route 1A and Water Street - Summerside 2025. For a total distance of 785 metres This project consists of three components: Component 1: This component of the project includes new road construction at the intersection of Route 1A and Water Street for 55 meters. See attached Design Drawings (Sheets 1 to 4: Design Project Number - 2024018 issued August 7, 2025). Component 2: This component of the project includes asphalt resurfacing for 450 meters on Route 1A and approximately 230 meters on Water Street. Approximate asphalt resurfacing area can be found in Schedule G. Component 3: This component of the project includes asphalt widening (1.0 metre) at the intersection of Route 1A and MacQuarrie Road for approximately 50 meters to construct a right-turn-lane onto MacQuarrie Road. Design Drawings for this component will be made available during the tender period. The work includes: Earth excavation, installing roadway culverts, placing borrow, placing granular base A, cold planing existing asphalt (50 mm), placing asphalt base A (70 mm), placing asphalt seal B (50 mm), shouldering, landscaping and all other work necessary to complete the Contract.
