Renovation of a military facility in Savannah, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
The United States Coast Guard (USCG) requires the removal and replacement of ductwork insulation at Air Station Savannah. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the work as detailed in the Statement of Work. A firm fixed-price purchase order will be awarded based on the Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable (LPTA) offer. All bidders are required to conduct a site visit to verify work details prior to submitting quotes. The contractor is responsible for understanding the nature and location of the work and all conditions that may affect cost and performance. Quotes must include a detailed breakdown of estimated labor and material costs and demonstrate the offeror's ability to meet all requirements and salient characteristics identified in the Statement of Work. Location: USCG Air Station Savannah, Hunter Army Airfield, 1297 North Lightning Rd., Savanna, GA 31409 Remove and dispose of existing insulation from supply and return trunk lines, as well as supply branch lines. 1.6.2 Replace any currently damaged sections of ductwork. 1.6.3 Seal all joints of replaced ductwork with tape and mastic. 1.6.4 Seal existing supply and return trunk lines, and supply branch lines with mastic. 1.6.5 Attach all insulation joints with mastic tape and staples, and seal them with mastic.
