Renovation of a water / sewer project in Bellingham, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The improvement consists of:Removal of two existing diesel standby generators and paralleling switchgear which will bereplaced with new similarly sized generators and new switchgear. The existing generatorsare each rated at 1,250 (kW) and are located within the City's existing generator building atthe City's Post Point Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) facility. The existing exhaustsystems, wiring, and other appurtenances will be removed along with the generators. Theproject includes temporary removal and replacement of the existing louver and dampersetup to accommodate generator removal and replacement. New exhaust systems, wiringand any appurtenances needed to install the new 1,250 (kW) generators will be required. Price Range: $4,500,000 to $6,000,000 All proposals must be on the BidProposal form provided by the City of Bellingham and must be accompanied by a certifiedcheck, cashier's check, cash, money order or bid bond payable to the Finance Director in anamount equal to or exceeding five percent (5%) of the total bid. No other form of bidsecurity is acceptable. The right is reserved to postpone making the award for a reasonablelength of time, to reject any and all bids, or to waive irregularities not affecting substantialrights. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
