Renovation of a municipal facility in Colfax, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The scope of work includes wind retrofitting to strengthen these facilities against future storm events. The wind retrofit seeks to harden the roofs, siding, windows, and doors to withstand 80-150-mph wind speeds. The project also proposes the removal of existing carports and replacement with new carports and newconcrete pads for anchoring. The EOC facility (ca. 1992) is 6,048 square-feet and is located at 100 8th Street, Colfax, LA (31.516028, -92.704607). The Sheriff's Admin facility (ca. 2000) is 5,607 square-feet and is located at 205 Cypress Street, Colfax, LA (31.515894,-92.71225).
