The contractor shall provide full-service preventive maintenance and repair services for mechanical equipment used by the Environmental Management Service (EMS) department at the Lebanon VA Medical Center. Services include monthly inspections, maintenance, and repairs of floor scrubbers, buffers, extractors, shampooers, wet/dry vacuums, and power washers. Repairs are expected to be completed during scheduled monthly service visits, with all equipment cleaned and maintained at least quarterly. Emergency service calls are excluded from the contract and require separate authorization. Contractor responsibilities include providing all labor, materials, and supervision, using original manufacturer parts or approved equivalents. All work must comply with manufacturer specifications, industry standards, and applicable federal regulations. Technicians must be qualified, licensed, and wear company uniforms with safety gear. Work must be performed weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., excluding holidays, and technicians must check in and out with the EMS office. The contractor must maintain a preventive maintenance log detailing services performed, and ensure proper cleanup and disposal of waste after each visit. The facility is smoke-free, and contractors must adhere to all security and safety protocols, including submitting a safety plan and risk assessment.
