FY26 Speed Humps Project #1 - Five Streets The work under this Contract consists of furnishing all necessary labor and materials required for installing speed humps as shown on the plans and directed by the engineer along the following streets: 1. Tappan Street 2. Beaconsfield Road 3. Clark Road 4. Clinton Road 5. Buckminster Road The scope of work includes the installation of a total of 37 speed humps. Additional project elements consist of constructing a hot mix asphalt (HMA) berm curb along parts of Clinton Road upon Engineers request, installing traffic signage at designated locations, performing minor drainage improvements, and completing various other incidental tasks necessary to fully execute the project as detailed herein. project completion may be extended to no later than July 3, 2026. Bid security in the form of a bid bond or certified check in the amount of 5% of the bid payable to the Town of Brookline is required. Bid security shall not be enclosed with the proposal but shall be delivered separately to the office of the Department of Public Works, attached to the outside of the bid proposal. The successful bidder shall furnish guarantee bonds in the form of a performance bond and a payment bond, each in the amount equal to 100% of the bid, from a surety company satisfactory to the Town. The proposal pages shall be submitted for comparison of bids. The Commissioner of Public Works reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to accept any bid, or to defer the start of work operations should he deem it in the best interest of the Town to do so.
