The project consists of installing a roundabout and tying in approximately 1100 feet of Euharlee Road, 225 feet of Stiles Road, and approximately 230 feet of a private road. The typical section for the road is an urban 2 lane undivided roadway with curb and gutter, storm drains and sidewalks. Shoulder work includes shoulder and open ditch grading, curb & gutter, sidewalk, and driveways. Other improvements include storm drain installation, gravity wall construction, signing and marking, and erosion control. The proposed intersection is on Euharlee Road approximately 2.6 miles west of its intersection with SR 113. The local county access roads consist of two 10-foot travel lanes with a transition from rural to an urban cross section. Refer to construction plans for paving specifications. Deadline for submission of written questions and requests for clarification 8/27/2025 5:00 PM The successful bidder will have up to one hundred eighty (180) consecutive calendar days to complete the work upon receipt of a Notice to Proceed to Construction from the Project Sponsor. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of five (5) percent of the Bid, prepared on the Bid Bond form attached to the Contract Documents or a Surety Company's Standard Bid Bond Both a Performance and a Payment Bond will be required by the County. The Performance Bond is required to be in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price in a form to be provided. A Payment Bond in the amount of 110% of the Performance Bond is also required to be submitted in a form to be provided. Proof of General Liability Insurance and Workman's Compensation Insurance will be required with the Bartow County Commissioner listed as an additional insured. Bartow County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, or parts thereof, to make award of contract in the best interest of the County and to waive technicalities and informalities. Work: The furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, superintendence, and other incidentals necessary or convenient to the successful completion of the Project, including the performance of all services and requirements set forth in the ITB hereof as the Scope of Work or Specification (in accordance with the specifications provided therein), and the carrying out of all obligations, duties, and responsibilities imposed by the Contract Documents in the provision thereof. A. The Contractor has agreed and by these presents does agree with Bartow County to furnish all equipment, tools, materials, skill, labor of every description, and all things necessary to carry out and complete in a good, firm, substantial and workmanlike manner, the Work and construction of the Project in strict conformity with the Drawings and Specifications entitled "EUHARLEE ROAD IMPROVEMENTS EUHARLEE ROAD AT STILES ROAD" which Drawings and Specifications together with the Proposal for the construction of said Projects submitted by the Contractor shall all form essential parts of this Contract. In addition to the foregoing, and notwithstanding anything to the contrary stated herein, the following terms and conditions, amendments to this Contract and other documents are incorporated by reference and made a part of the terms and conditions of this Contract as if fully set out herein. B. The Contractor shall commence Work under this Contract within ten (10) calendar days from the date of receipt of the Notice to Proceed, as evidenced by official receipt of certified mail or acknowledgment of personal delivery and shall fully complete the construction work for EUHARLEE ROAD ROUNDABOUT AT STILES ROAD within Three Hundred Sixty-Five (365) Calendar Days from and including the Notice to Proceed.
