Site work for a water / sewer project in Marshall, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Tank Information: The structure is a 200,000-gallon spheroid with a low-water level of 144.25 ft. Exterior: High pressure water clean (5,000 to 10,000 psi) and spot power tool clean to a SSPC-SP11 standard. Apply a three (3) coat epoxy urethane fluoropolymer system. Wet Interior: Abrasive blast clean to a SSPC-SP10 near-white metal standard. Apply a three (3) coat zinc epoxy system. Apply a polyurethane caulk to the roof lap seams. The cathodic protection system shall be removed and reinstalled by the owner's vendor (or approved equal), coordination and payment is the contractor's responsibility. Dry Interior: Abrasive blast clean the top of the platforms (including 1 ft. up the riser wall), the entire bowl, the bottom 1/2 of the access tube, and spot coating failures throughout to a SSPC-SP6 commercial standard. Apply a three (3) coat epoxy system to the bottom 1/2 of the access tube and the entire bowl, and apply a spot two (2) coat epoxy system to the rest of the prepared surfaces. Foundation: Repair grout. Water clean and apply a two (2) coat epoxy system. Splash Pad: Install a concrete splash pad at the overflow pipe discharge. Repairs: 1) Replace the access tube manway gasket. 2) Install handholds at the roof hatches. 3) Reattach loose sections of the aluminum jacketing over the fill/draw pipe insulation. 4) Replace the mud valve. 5) Replace the wet interior ladder. 6) Install a seal at the access tube air gap. 7) Replace section of the fill pipe. 8) Replace light fixtures in the dry interior. 9) Replace the aviation lights. 10) Replace the dry interior light bulbs. 11) Install grounding rods for the structure. This project name is to be understood to include the entire scope of project as defined and detailed by these specifications and Contract Documents. Liquidated damages are applicable and begin after 40 days out-of-service or after Substantial Completion date whichever is the earlier date. Liquidated damages at $1,250/calendar day is to apply after this date. Ready for Final Payment Date is to be thirty (30) days after date Substantial Completion Date based on out-of-service days or scheduled Substantial Completion, or as adjusted by Change Order, or actual Substantial Completion if earlier. Liquidated damages after Ready for Final Payment Date of $250/day is to apply. Liquidated damages are cumulative if damages from Substantial Completion and Ready for Final Payment overlap. In addition, Special Damages, fines, or Set-Off may also apply per Bid/Agreement Form. The Contractor is to abide by the following schedule: Base Bid - Fall 2025: Commence work on or after September 1, 2025. Substantial Completion by October 31, 2025, including cure and disinfection time. Alternate Bid - Spring 2026: Commence work on or after April 13, 2026. Substantial Completion by June 19, 2026, including cure and disinfection time. The tank may be out-of-service a maximum of 40 days.
