Renovation of a water / sewer project in Pella, Iowa. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
This is a large project that will update the three original lift stations that were built at the same time as the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Lift Station 1 will have the pumps, controls and piping replaced, as well as the wetwell gates, building entry doors and hanging heater. Lift Station 2 will have the pump motors replaced from the current 60 hp motors to new 75 hp motors, as well as the wetwell gates and building entry doors. Lift Station 3 will have the pumps, controls and piping replaced, as well as the wetwell gates, hanging heater and building entry doors. As of August 12, 2025, The project is included in the City's 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
