The Town of Cary is seeking sealed bids for the furnishing of materials, labor, and equipment for Building Demolition in preparation for GoCarys Downtown Multi-Modal Transit Center. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instruction to Bidders. *The value for this project is based on a financial range of $250,000 to $500,000. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The Town plans to demolish twenty-one structures within the proposed Multimodal Center Project site. The site is bounded by railroad tracks to the north and south; S. Harrison Avenue to the east; and N. West Street to the west. The site is comprised of twenty-one (21) commercial and/or residential parcels of land with structures present in all but one parcel. Building surveys were conducted in the spring of 2025 to determine the presence of Asbestos-Containing Materials (ACM) withing the structures. The work for demolition includes the removal and proper disposition of reusable and recyclable items, ACM and other Regulated Building Materials (RBM); and universal waste. The structures will be demolished down to the slabs and disturbed areas will be stabilized with permanent cover in accordance with local and state requirements.
