The work of this Contract shall be performed in accordance with the documents prepared by Langdon Environmental LLC dated July 2025. The work of this Contract includes furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the construction of the proposed corrective actions including waste excavation and consolidation, importing and placement of approved grading and shaping materials, and construction of a new cap on the Old Town Dump located off Flint Road in Charlton, Massachusetts as shown on the Drawings. The work also includes appurtenant and miscellaneous work, as specified, and as indicated on the Drawings. Questions regarding the website or project distribution should be directed online. Bids will be available immediately for public view at the date and time stated above online. Bids shall be clearly identified as per instructions at online website. Bid Security shall be at least five percent (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount The Closure of the Former Old Town Dump Project is being bid in accordance with M.G.L Chapter 30, s. 39M (Non-Building/Public Works Projects). Each Bid must be accompanied by cash, bid bond, or a certified check on, or a treasurer's or cashier's check issued by, a responsible bank or trust company, payable to OWNER to the amount of five percent of the amount bid. The Work shall commence 10 days following written notice by the Town and shall be completed within 365 days of the written notice to proceed. Paper copies of the Contract Documents are available for examination at the office of the Board of Health, Town Hall, 37 Main Street, Charlton, Massachusetts. Each Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of five percent of the Bid. Bidders may not withdraw their Bids for a period of 45 days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays after the actual date of the opening of the Bids. The Successful Bidder must furnish a 100 percent Performance Bond and a 100 percent Payment Bond with a surety company acceptable to the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all Bids if deemed to be in its best interest.
