The project is likely getting rebid within the next few weeks. The work generally includes the core boring of existing concrete floors and the provision of new PVC piping, radon exhaust fan, fittings and all other items required to vent above exterior roof soffit level and miscellaneous other work items depicted and described in the Contract Documents, complete and ready for use and in compliance with the latest codes and regulations. Bidder shall hold a current Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection Radon Certification. The Bidder's DEP listed mitigation employees shall be certified to perform radon mitigation activities in Pennsylvania. All work shall be performed in accordance with DEP recommended best practices. Contractor shall be required to perform exit testing following installation of radon mitigation systems to ensure mitigation system brings radon levels to acceptable levels. Bid security in the amount of 10% of the bid price shall be submitted with the bid. Bid security shall be in one of the following forms only: Certified check (drawn on a bank authorized to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania), or bid bond. The surety must be on the latest approved U.S. Treasury List, Circular 570. The bidder will be required to submit a Certificate of Surety with the bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond and each shall be in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. A one-year Maintenance Bond shall also be required. Cost of bonds to be included in the base bid.
