Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Ottawa, Ontario. Completed plans call for the construction of a 68,193-square-foot, one-story above grade parking garage; for site work for a parking garage; and water / sewer project.

The project elements include, but are not limited to the following: 4.1 Demolition of the existing outdoor bus parking area. 4.2 Site redevelopment of the existing outdoor bus parking area to accommodate construction of the new garage including but not limited to; underground stormwater storage, stormwater drainage revisions, service connections for water, stormwater, sanitary, electrical, natural gas, communications and life safety. 4.3 Construction of a new 6970 m2 bus garage to store and charge eighty (80) electric buses. 4.4 The work area and approved staging area must be fully enclosed with fencing in order to provide adequate protection and separation from vehicle and pedestrian traffic. 4.5 Cooperation and coordination will be required at all times between the Prime Consultant, General Contractor and the Design-Builder in order to deliver a fully operational electric bus garage at project completion. 4.6 The Design-Builder is responsible for the supply and installation of all bus charging related infrastructure inside and outside the New Garage as well as provision of the electrical service to the New Garage. 4.7 The General Contractor will need to carefully coordinate and integrate the work of the Design-Builder into the construction of the new garage to permit the Design-Builder's forces to be working at the same time as the New Garage is constructed. 4.8 The General Contractor is to be designated as the Constructor in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and have overall authority of health and safety over the Design-Builder within the project limits of the New Garage. The General Contractor will be responsible for preparing a Site-Specific Health and Safety Plan for the entire New Garage site. 4.9 Achieve LEED Certified certification of the facility. Design-Builder Scope of Work Overview: 5.1 On-site substation: Construction of a new on-site substation in the northwest corner of the 1500 St. Laurent Boulevard site to provide power to the new and existing garages including the administration building. This work is expected to be completed by Q2 2026. 5.2 Electrical distribution: Electrical services to the new and existing garages will be provided through new electrical distribution duct banks extending from the on-site substation to the new and existing garages. This work is expected to be completed by Q2 2026. 5.3 Electric bus charging infrastructure inside garages: Construction of new electric bus charging infrastructure inside the new and existing garages. This includes charging equipment, charging system controls and applications, electrical panels and transformers associated with charging equipment, structural support framing associated with charging equipment, electrical cabling, and cable trays.
